I love this shoot we did for Alex & Alexa. So much fun making our Easter bonnets and dressing up in a little Easter Edit I styled for them.

Getting Ready for Easter with Musings from a London Mum.
MARCH 19, 2015
Bunches of daffodils, long walks in the country, big family lunches and eating lots of chocolate (our favourite bit – obviously), we can’t wait for Easter here at AlexandAlexa.
We love hearing how you will all be celebrating with your families so we asked fashion stylist and Musings From A London Mum blogger Jemima Bradley to tell us what she’ll be getting up to. Pictured here at home with her gorgeous daughters Rose, 5, and Martha, 1, read our interview with her below and scroll down for instructions on how to make their fun twist on a traditional Easter bonnet.
HOW WILL YOU BE CELEBRATING EASTER AS A FAMILY?
We will be heading to Granny Ga Ga’s for Easter, we are so looking forward to escaping London for a week. My mum makes a real effort for Easter and we still all get a surprise chocolate egg on the Easter table. She also buys us an Easter gift which is usually some lovely beauty gift. I have always looked forward to our Easter presents.
WILL YOU HAVE AN EASTER EGG HUNT?
Yes we will have the annual village Easter Egg hunt with Granny Ga Ga and I am planning a little Easter party for Rose and her friends too.
HOW WILL YOU DECORATE YOUR HOUSE?
We are making lots Easter bunting with decorated rabbits and also a huge Easter tree made of blossom branches with our decorations that Rose and I have been making for the last few years. I am excited to attempt to make and Easter egg bauble bunting with string, PVA glue and eggs. You cover brightly coloured string in the glue and wrap it around an empty eggshell. The string dries and you can break the eggshell to leave a bauble. It sounds quite complicated but I think the end result will look so lovely and we can keep it in our decorations box for years to come. I know even if it is a craft disaster the girls and I will love giving it a go.
I love Easter – it’s such a wonderful time to celebrate spring which I think is one of my favourite seasons. So I love filling our home with fresh daffodils and lots of bright colours and giving it a good spring clean.
WILL YOU GET DRESSED UP?
Of course, any excuse for a dress. I am really into vintage dresses at the moment. So it will be vintage number for Easter Day. Something floral and bright. Dressing down for the holidays there will be a little bit of gingham, stripes and a few dungarees layered with my favourite boho blouses.
AND FINALLY, WHAT ARE YOUR TOP TIPS FOR ENTERTAINING LITTLE ONES OVER THE EASTER HOLIDAYS?
Craft, craft and more craft. I always stock up from my favourite craft website Baker Ross. They have amazing Easter kits to make cards, decorations and make Easter bonnets too.
We also are really paying attention to our garden so we will be planting the seedlings we have been growing, hopefully the frost will finally be gone. After such a long winter it is so refreshing to be outside with the girls.

HOW TO MAKE THE MUSINGS FROM A LONDON MUM EASTER BONNET
What you need:
We cut out crown and rabbit shapes from some pink foam to form the basis of our bonnets
Then attached our shapes to the crown section and decorated to our hearts content. The more sequins, ribbons and bows the better.
