Oh the days before children weekends were all about long brunches and wistful walks around our favourite neighbourhoods. So I have been really getting my gang up and about to do the same thing. The girls and Mr B are terrible at doing nothing and just relaxing around the house. Although I have tried with countless home cinema initiatives or long Sunday lunches.
A few weekends ago we went to a very early morning screening of the Moomins at Hackney Picture House. The girls are finally getting to a stage where the cinema is a reality again. Which I love.
Hackney Picture house is pretty amazing, a huge space with a real selection of showings. They also have private screening rooms that would be great for a party for you or your little ones.
The Moomins is a super gentle movie to go and watch. Lovely characters and has a really Scandi vibe which I love. The girls really enjoyed it.
As we were East we walked over to Broadway Market. Mr B and I lived a stones through from there and it has changed so much since then. Its full of restaurants, coffee shops and artisan deli’s. Perfect for weekend wanderings and picking up a cheese board for a lazy afternoon aftering tiring the children out in London Fields.
There is the most beautiful flower meadow which the girls loved playing in. Picking flowers and making flower angles laying in the grass.
A truly wonderful London day with my Little Londoners.
